Newcastle dance-rock duo RAAVE TAPES recently unveiled their latest offering, marrying the bitter with the sweet on their single, ‘Goodbye’.
Their first new release since 2022’s ‘I Will Let You Down’, the glistening ‘Goodbye’ is an accomplished piece of work from the duo (which comprises Joab Eastley and Lindsay O’Connell), and is the first taste of a forthcoming collection of songs.
‘Goodbye’ has received stellar support since its premiere on triple j Good Nights, including features in TikTok Music Playlists “Australia” and “New Music”, landing the cover of YouTube Music’s “Alt-Pop” Playlist, and was added to rotation on Radio 1 New Zealand, to name just a few.
RAAVE TAPES’ 2022 single ‘I Will Let You Down’ was added to full rotation on triple j, and the band also appeared as special guests on Brisbane-trio Bugs’ Like A Version performance, reaching #91 on the triple j Hottest 100, 2021, and #25 on the triple j Hottest 100 of Like A Version.
