About
Equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) has progressed as society has become more globalised and interconnected, however a siloed lens to EDI in innovation is no longer effective. Professor Rashina Hoda, Associate Dean (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion), Agile Methodologies specialist, and world-leading human-centred software engineering expert, takes the discourse around diversity to a whole new level. Drawing on a vast spectrum of thought, experiences, research, advocacy and leading expertise, Professor Hoda will delve into the complex layers of intersectionality and the impact of compounding inequalities. This session inspires participants to rethink EDI and how the multifaceted identities of users and creators influence every stage of the development lifecycle – ultimately determining whether the world’s innovations truly serve humanity.
