Deep Rising

Jason Momoa narrates this exquisite fly-on-the-wall environmental documentary about one of the earth’s biggest unknowns: the deep sea.

A gripping and up-to-the-minute tale of geopolitical, scientific, and corporate intrigue. Matthieu Rytz’s (Anote’s Art, Sundance 2018) film exposes the destructive machinations of a secretive organization extracting massive amounts of metals from the deep seafloor. Demystifying this global crisis with intimate detail, Deep Sea illuminates the vital relationship between the deep ocean and sustaining life on Earth.

The screening on Tuesday 17 Oct will feature an introduction before, and Q+A after the screening with director Matthieu Rytz. The screening on Saturday 21 Oct will be proceeded by an extended intro from Matthieu.
