BRING Artist Brand Summit: Beyond Greatness - The Collision of Music & Sport
THU, OCT 19, 10:30 AM
Conference
Sport is bigger than the plays that happen on the field. It’s the music that plays around it that help fuel the culture around it.
From the anthems sung around the stadium, to the soundtrack that its players step out to, music and sport have always had a rich heritage together.
By talking to leaders of the sports world, we’ll look at the ways they leverage music in innovative ways to create a deeper cultural ecosystem around their game. Then, we’ll turn our attention to a musical cultural icon themselves, one with a deep fandom for sport to understand the ways in which they express their love of sport through their artistry.
Alongside the launch of BRING for Sport, a new agency arm dedicated to bringing the worlds of sport and music together, we’ll understand the ways in which sports brands can win with fans through the powerful medium of music.

Conference
The Emmy-winning executive producer of Netflix’s international hit series Formula 1: Drive To Survive discusses how the hit docuseries was created and what makes it so successful, diving into everything from league access to episodic story crafting. Martin, who is Co-Founder of Box to Box Films, shares how the success of Drive To Survive created an appetite for more sports access shows and what he and his team have done to feed this. In the last two years alone, Martin and Box To Box Films have produced FULL SWING (following the PGA Tour and Majors for Netflix); two seasons of MAKE OR BREAK (following the World Surf League for Apple TV+); BREAK POINT (following the tennis Grand Slams for Netflix); UNCHAINED (following the Tour de France for Netflix); a soon-to-be-released docuseries for Netflix on 6 NATIONS RUGBY; and WANTED: THE ESCAPE OF CARLOS GHOSN: (a true crime 3-part feature on Apple TV+) in addition to Drive To Survive, with second seasons of FULL SWING, BREAK POINT and UNCHAINED currently in production. Also in production is a docuseries for Netflix following the world's top sprinters, as is a project with Major League Soccer for Apple TV+. Martin will speak on the growing popularity of the sports documentary format, where he sees it going next, and Box To Box's elevated slate in the genre they created and continue to dominate.
