How to Create a Diverse, Inclusive and Gender-Balanced Screen Production
Everyone wants to have an inclusive and diverse production team, yet many don’t know where to start or how to successfully put this in motion. Our session will discuss some of the obstacles and what you can do to overcome them.
Through extensive industry research, and utilising WIFT’s global network, this session is an opportunity to break down barriers and assess the way in which we all approach crewing productions.
Oakley Kwon of Women In Film and Television will moderate a conversation with three leading industry experts who have extensive experience in sourcing and running inclusive sets. Panellists are Racheal Rauch - Job-Share consultant at Screen Well; Kirsty Stark - AACTA, Rose d’Or & Emmy award-winning television and feature film producer; and Kristen Hodges - Screen Australia executive and producer of feature films and over 60 hours of television.
The panel will discuss the obstacles facing screen practitioners when crewing for diversity, as well as share resources that will support you in making your production as inclusive as possible.
After the panel, WIFT will host a 1 hour networking event for audience members.
