How Web3 Will Transform Entrepreneurship and Investment for Good

Venture capital investing has become mainstream, driven by the emergence of a new generation of global venture capital investors and facilitated by technology. Raising capital for startups has changed forever, for good. The future of capital raising, enabled by Web3 technology, begins to enable digital communities ready and eager to invest their time and money in niche opportunities they believe in.Web3 will effectively help with the digitisation of deal origination and the tokenisation of securities registries (for both companies raising capital and for fund managers) making investor management and engagement seamless, and the fastest and safest secondary trading capability (built on distributed ledger technology) ever seen, enabling employees, founders, contributors, investors and anybody else with an interest in a high-growth company to buy and sell that interest without the need for a traditional exit event.Web3-powered communities will empower everybody to invest in, and grow, industries they care about. It’s worth taking a moment to imagine what that means. Our panel of experts in Capital Raising, Venture Capital, Investing, Community-led Growth and Web3 will take you through what it all means for founders and investors building the world's most impactful startups.

Venture Studios: An Alternative Path to Startup Success

FRI, OCT 20, 3:00 PM
Conference
Join Venture Studios, Josephmark and Paloma, and Alexander Dreiling, Clipchamp co-founder (acquired by Microsoft) in a panel discussion on how Ventures Studios provide an alternative pathway to building successful startups. As venture studios, we believe that traditional approaches to startup building often lead to significant wastage and failure as founders do not always have the means to bring their vision to life as a scalable business. In this panel, we will explore the concept of venture studios, how they differ from accelerators, incubators and venture capital firms, and why they are a viable option for entrepreneurs seeking a smoother road to realising business success. We will discuss topics such as how to select the right partner for your venture, and what an equity split with a studio normally looks like. We will hear from Clipchamp co-founder Alexander Dreiling to hear the founder perspective of working with a Venture Studio. Unlike traditional accelerators or venture capital firms, venture studios are like co-founders. They are actively involved in the development process and provide ongoing support to their portfolio companies, including access to resources, expertise, and capital.
