Music has never been more accessible for fans, but conversely it’s never been harder to make a living as a musician. While the fanbase and passion remains, the financial realities are very different. So how do artists solve this problem and take advantage of the opportunity to get closer to their fans? Web3 technologies offer a new opportunity in this space, creating the chance to create exclusivity with NFT digital pressings, immersive experiences using VR and AR technology and a range of other opportunities. This panel will look at where we’ve come from, take in the lessons from the massive recent Jack Daniel’s Music Drop campaign and look to the future to understand how fans and artists can get closer, and how brands might be able to play a role and enhance their business at the same time.
