About
This year at SWSW Sydney we have Lucy Dickins who will be talking about their experiences and learnings across their careers and life. Lucy Dickins has led WME’s music department to an unprecedented level of success over the past year. In 2024 so far, WME had more wins and nominations than any other agency at the Grammy Awards, with 30 clients taking home wins, as well as 45 BRIT Awards nominations, 34 CMT Music Awards nominations, and both a BAFTA Award and an Academy Award for Ludwig Göransson, the composer behind “Oppenheimer.” Under her leadership, the division oversaw Usher’s Super Bowl LVII Half Time Show, Adele’s sold-out Las Vegas and forthcoming Germany residencies, Olivia Rodrigo’s “GUTS” world tour, and the continued success of Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival. WME has booked thousands of performances in recent months, including sold-out tours for André 3000, Xavi, and Fujii Kaze, as well as major festival slots ranging from headliners to debuts for Lainey Wilson, The Killers, Sam Smith, Nicki Minaj, Coldplay, Dasha, and many more. In 2023, Dickins received the prestigious Music Industry Trusts Award (MITS) in London for her contributions to the U.K.’s musical and cultural landscape. She became only the second agent to be honored in the ceremony’s 32-year history, joining the ranks of previous MITS recipients such as Rob Stringer, Sir Lucian Grainge, Annie Lennox, Kylie Minogue, and Sir Elton John. Dickins has been named to Billboard’s Power 100 (2022-2024), Billboard’s Women in Music (2022-2024), Pollstar’s Women of Live (2021, 2023), Pollstar’s Impact 50 (2021, 2023), Variety500 (2021-2023), Variety’s Top Entertainment Business Leaders (2021), Music Week’s Live Music Agent of the Year (2017, 2019), and Agent of the Year at the European Festival Awards (2019). Dickins is a member of Endeavor’s Diversity and Inclusion working group, which focuses on the amplification of marginalized voices, and ways to deeper develop the company’s proactive commitment to both diversity and inclusion.
