About
Mary-Anne Williams is the Michael J. Crouch Chair in Innovation at UNSW, where she drives entrepreneurship and innovation. She founded and leads the UNSW Business AI Lab and serves as Deputy Director of the UNSW AI Institute. With a PhD in AI and a Master of Law, Mary-Anne is an Affiliate Faculty member at Stanford University and a Fellow of the global AI peak body AAAI, the Australian Computer Society, and the Academy of Technological Science and Engineering. Her research focuses on human-AI collaboration, and she is recognised for her contributions to decision-making, strategic management, AI strategy and innovation. Mary-Anne also teaches corporate innovation at the AGSM, advises global organisations on AI business model innovation, actively invests in startups, and is an Expert Entrepreneur in Residence at UNSW Founders.
