About
Niyati Mehta is Director of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center, Consulate General of India in Sydney. SVCC is a part of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Government of India. Niyati’s work experience includes over 25 years in the cultural sector, and across genres ranging from museums and monuments to dance and folklore. Her areas of interest include creating new ideas, building projects, and developing partnerships in India and countries seeking to partner with India. She is a Chevening Clore and a Salzburg Global Fellow, and a Charles Wallace India Trust Scholar among other professional merits. Niyati joined the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center in March 2023, and is enthusiastic and excited about her role. SVCC was established by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Government of India to build and promote cultural relations between India and Australia. She believes there is an immense potential to further build cultural relations between India and Australia.
