Globally, 50 million tonnes of e-waste will be produced this year; equivalent to the weight of all the commercial airplanes ever made. Amongst this waste are 5.3 billion discarded mobile phones that still have years of life left in them. In a world where there are more mobile phones than people, we explore the impact of a simple behaviour change that can make a difference to everyone, everywhere. You will hear from the founder of one of the world’s largest environmental movements about his next challenge, as well as key Australian industry leaders who are making a positive impact on the world. Join us as we launch a game-changing industry movement that will tackle this addiction to disposability, shaking up the mobile industry and activating worldwide change.
