Daniel Anstey is a lawyer in the Corporate and Commercial, Music, and Digital Media groups at Simpsons Solicitors, Australia's leading and renowned entertainment and IP law firm. Daniel advises on a range of commercial and contentious matters relating to the music and digital media industries, including the sale, purchase and management of intellectual property assets, copyright infringements, contractual disputes and corporate structures. Previously Daniel was a lawyer at the Australian Copyright Council, where he advised creators and industry peak bodies on copyright law and was involved in policy development and law reform. Daniel has a keen interest in emerging and innovative technologies, including AI and blockchain. He has written, presented and advised on the legal issues involved in the use of these technologies in a commercial context.
