About
James de Vries is a Strategic Design consultant and educator with deep expertise in harnessing the crafts and mindsets of design to build better strategies. James redesigned and worked as the first ever Creative Director at Harvard Business Review Publishing in the USA for seven years from 2011 to 2017. Previously James was the founder and director of de Luxe & Associates, a specialty design firm that worked with a range of global publishing clients to design publications – ranging from digital-storytelling and book design, to national newspapers and magazines. James is an Adjunct Professor of Design at UTS and a graduate in Visual Communication. James is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the Faculty of Design Architecture and Building. An experienced leader, teacher and practitioner, James is committed to helping organisations succeed through sharper strategic creativity and better integration of storytelling and intent.
