Dr Vera Rullens is a spatial ecologist with a passion for understanding the connections between nature and people. She works as the GIS officer at The Nature Conservancy Australia where she supports conservation and restoration practitioners in making informed decisions on where to work, data analysis, and provides technical expertise. Vera has a background in marine biology and studied the working of coastal ecosystems and the ‘ecosystem services’ they generate. Her interest extends broadly to all systems where nature and people meet, and we can make a positive impact through conservation.
