Misty McPhail is an executive producer at Made in the West CREATIVE and the general manager of Made in the West Film Festival, a grassroots festival that celebrates and showcases the work of Western Sydney filmmakers. She is an experienced event producer, MC and team leader, working on various festivals and events over the last ten years including Sydney Writers’ Festival and the Australian Production Design Guild annual awards ceremony. She recently completed PhD research on digital festival design and is passionate about creating more opportunities for independent artists through innovative creative practice.
