Rei’s (Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Pākeha) music seamlessly bridges urban and electronic, with elements of hip hop, pop and dance flavors. With over 11 million Spotify Streams, 6 Waiata Māori Awards and 5 NZ Music Awards nominations, Rei is carving out his space in the world.

His most loved tune ‘Good Mood’ hit #1 on the US Viral 50 Chart on Spotify and has racked up over 6 million streams, heavily supported by Mai fm. The Drum & Bass remix was the first ever te reo DnB tune to achieve major playlisting on George FM. 2022 saw Rei release Te Whakapono, which George FM Drive DJ Sin labeled “the track of the summer”. Rei has toured extensively around NZ playing to tens of thousands at major festivals like WOMAD, RnV, Soundsplash, One Love, Aum, Splore and Waitangi gigs.
