Skye is an advocate for democracy, the purpose-driven economy and the role of civil society in high level decision making; work that saw her named an inaugural Obama Foundation Leader for the Asia Pacific in 2020. She’s the co-founder of Ripple Opportunities; a social enterprise helping emerging professionals (aged 18 - 30) contribute to their communities and build purpose-driven careers so they can tackle the world's biggest challenges, and she previously founded Y Vote; helping galvanise increases in youth voter participation. Skye has represented Australia in a cross section of international forums such as the World Forum for Democracy and the EU-Australia Leadership Forum. She took 10+ years to complete her Bachelor of Arts and had a brief stint working in the music industry.

Humans are remarkable. Arguably, the evolution of our mind’s intelligence and adaptability have made humans the most dominant species on the planet. But what’s our super power? Many species on earth come together to work as a team, herd, colony or community. During this session, Innovation Bay, ANZ’s leading community for technology founders and investors, explores how our participation in community gives us a sense of belonging - the super power of our species. Led by Cameron Webb, expert on leadership and team development, alongside an expert panel, this session will explore: - The neuroscience of belonging and why as humans we are driven to connect as a community - Stories of the benefits of belonging - How leading community creators are building belonging at scale
