Protect the Ocean, So it can Protect Us

TUE, OCT 17, 10:00 AM
Conference
Our future is tied to the ocean. Its shared seas connect us through food, culture, and sport. Home to amazing, abundant life, the ocean is also a powerful climate solution. Yet less than 3% of it is protected from human-driven damage, globally, and Australia is lagging behind. Dave Rastovich, Patagonia Global Sports Activist and co-host of Waterpeople podcast, leads a conversation between ocean-loving friends on why, and how, we must protect precious saltwater places.
We acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation as the Traditional Custodians of this land we now call Sydney, where this event will take place. We pay our respects to their continuing connection with cultural, spiritual and educational practices, and extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Always was, always will be.
