Melissa is one of the best-known and trusted voices and faces in Australian media. An accomplished and awarded journalist with more than 30 years experience, Melissa spent 25 years with the Seven Network. During that time she co-hosted Sunrise for 14 years, was a senior journalist with the Seven news team, wining a Walkley Award for her live rolling coverage of the Lindt Cafe Seige then moved into the role of host and senior correspondent for flagship pubic affairs program Sunday Night. Melissa is weekend breakfast host for radio station Smooth FM, and has written four books, “The Working Mothers Survival Guide”, her best selling memoir “Alphabet Soup”, “How to Age Against the Machine” and “Fifteen Seconds of Brave”. In the 2016 Australia Day Honours List Melissa was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her “significant service to the community through representational roles with a range of charitable groups, and to the broadcast media.” She is National Patron for the Make A Wish Foundation and an Ambassador for The Alannah and Madeline Foundation and World Vision. Melissa serves on the board for the GWS Giants, but above all is a proud mother of Nick and Talia.
