Tech: Friend or Foe?

WED, OCT 18, 3:30 PM
Conference
This session will explore the current interplay of profitability, and the development of responsible and impactful tech within the tech industry. It will also discuss the upward trend of incorporating impact into most technology companies’ missions and how we can ensure that this is a long-term shift in course. Current responsible tech-related strategies our speakers will touch on include holistic impact measurement strategies and subsidiary foundations. Trends that our speakers can speak to are the rise of impact-focussed technology investments, the lobbying of policy changes designed to mitigate technology-exacerbated social harm and development of open-source community technology.
