Senior Lecturer Animation and Games, JMC Academy

Petr Joura is a senior lecturer in Animation & Games Design from JMC Academy. Prior to his academic career he worked in the games industry as a game designer, producer, level designer, and copywriter; and has developed content for numerous titles including the Unreal Tournament series. He is currently co-authoring a chapter on early AI Animation for the Routledge Companion for Animation Studies with Damian Gascoigne. His interest in A.I. image generation sprang from curiosity and he has spent the past 18 months actively exploring its possibilities at an academic level. He believes generative A.I. opens new doors to the creative process and provides never-before-seen capabilities to digital artists.
