Karrie Shirou Shao is the lead narrative designer and lead writer on Pacific Drive, a 2024 Top 10 Best Selling Game on Steam. Her writing was praised as "funny and compelling" by GamesRadar, "exquisite" by ScreenRant, and "heartful" by DreadCentral.

She was one of the first women to write and produce at Riot Games on League of Legends. She's also launched over 50 titles in a collection of roles: narrative designer, writer, editor, producer, and marketing & communications director on Space Channel 5 VR, Hello Neighbor, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, and event producer on Psychonauts 2, Sayonara Wild Hearts, and more.
