About
A versatile and award-winning Australian filmmaker, I'm recognised among my peers as a prolific Director, Writer, and Producer. I'm also the founder of genre production company Deadhouse Films. My varied body of work ranges from viral horror feature film The Tunnel - which amassed over 25 million views and downloads around the world - to the hit indie feature documentaries Food Matters & Hungry For Change and the Sydney Film Festival Audience Award Winning theatrical feature documentary The Crossing. I joined forces with Julian Harvey to write and produce The Tunnel – a project whose innovative approach to funding and distribution saw it hit international cinema screens despite being crowdfunded and simultaneously given away for free online. In addition to reaching a massive global audience, Australia’s first ever crowdfunded feature film garnered Julian and I the Screen Producers Association of Australia Award for Breakthrough Independent Producers Of The Year. This journey is documented in the 2023 documentary The Tunnel: The Other Side of Darkness. As a Director, I made my theatrical feature film debut with conspiracy thriller Event Zero, and am the Showrunner of the Shudder Original Series Deadhouse Dark, which premiered at the prestigious CANNESERIES and launched on the platform in April 2021 I created the multiple award-winning online conspiracy thriller series Event Zero (upon which my feature film directorial debut was based), the science fiction series Airlock, as well as producing several original productions for the Blackpills mobile streaming platform including Skinford and Skinford Chapter Two. My ongoing commitment as a Creator in the web series space and my work within that community earned me The Michael Ajakwe Jr Lifetime Achievement Award from Melbourne WebFest. I co-wrote and directed the Screen Australia Skip Ahead series Unknown Filter for Saksham Magic, which has amassed more than 1 million views since release.SCREEN MENTORSHIP APPLICATION Applications for the Screen Mentorship Program are now open and will close at 2 PM on October 11th, 2024.
