Vanessa Brown is Director, Asia Pacific, Global Business Development at ByteDance. She oversees business development, strategy, and operations supporting telecommunications, infrastructure, product, and trust and safety to drive adoption, usage, retention, brand lift and product excellence across TikTok and other applications within ByteDance's portfolio. Brown and her team have driven dozens of partnerships across Asia, Australia and New Zealand, establishing new standards for impact on user growth, retention, infrastructure, brand lift and technology, with a particular focus on 5G innovation and enhanced content delivery network partnerships. Prior to ByteDance, Brown spent nearly 20 years in business development across the region, including leading strategic partnerships for Warner Media Asia, with a focus on technology-driven transformation. She cut her teeth in Australia and Europe, with early roles in premier media and technology companies such as ITV, AOL and Yahoo.
