Professor Charlene Lobo

Professor Charlene lobo – Discipline Leader of Physics, Faculty of Science Prof Lobo has 20 years experience in semiconductor nanofabrication and low-dimensional materials. Her career achievements include development of quantum dot architectures for the first single-photon emitting diode; launching the journal Nature Materials in 2002, which now has an impact factor over 40; developing applications of electron, plasma and ion beam technologies for nanostructure deposition, etching and fabrication; and since 2020, continuing to expand her research in all of these areas while also leading the Physics discipline at UTS School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences.
